Cuyahoga Falls Schools, 2026–27 Calendar, BOE Meetings & District Office
Cuyahoga Falls City School District has gone through unusually visible changes for the 2026–27 school year: grades 6–12 are now together at the new campus, Preston Elementary has closed as a neighborhood elementary school, preschool has moved to the Preston Learning Center, and the district stopped interdistrict open enrollment.
This independent guide organizes the Board of Education schedule, school calendar, district office, active schools, enrollment requirements, kindergarten cutoff, transportation routes and parent-facing resources so local families can reach the right official page without relying on old school lists or saved calendars.
Cuyahoga Falls Board of Education quick facts
The Cuyahoga Falls Board of Education is the five-member elected governing board for Cuyahoga Falls City School District. Members are elected to four-year terms on an alternating three-seat/two-seat cycle, while the Superintendent and Treasurer handle district administration and fiscal operations.
Old-directory warning: a page showing Bolich Middle, Roberts Middle and Preston Elementary as the current operating school structure is outdated for 2026–27. Grades 6–12 now use the new campus, and Preston is no longer operating as a neighborhood elementary school.
Cuyahoga Falls Board of Education meeting dates
The current 2026 schedule lists most Board meetings at 5:30 p.m. in either the Performing Arts Center Auditorium or Black Box Theatre. The district also posts work sessions, organizational meetings and location-change notices separately.

Do not rely on a generic meeting-location sentence. The district has already posted a location change for the November 4 meeting. Check the individual notice or live calendar before driving to a meeting.
How to find a Cuyahoga Falls BOE agenda, minutes or recording
The district Board of Education section links the current Board agenda, Board meeting minutes and audio-only meeting recordings. Use the live meeting date first so you do not accidentally open a document from an earlier meeting.
Confirm the meeting date
Start with the official 2026 meeting schedule or BOE calendar.
Open the Board agenda
Use the agenda to see what the Board plans to discuss or act on at that meeting.
Use approved minutes afterward
An agenda is not proof that an item was approved. Use Board meeting minutes for the formal written record.
Listen to the meeting when useful
The district publishes audio-only Board meeting recordings for additional context.
Cuyahoga Falls Board of Education members
The current district Board page lists five elected members. Board terms run January through December, and elections alternate between three seats and two seats.

|---|---|---|
| Anthony Gomez | President | 330-715-7686 |

Board vs administration: the Board sets policy, allocates resources, hires and evaluates the Superintendent and Treasurer, approves contracts and monitors district finances. Day-to-day school operations belong to district administration rather than individual Board members.
How to speak at a Cuyahoga Falls Board meeting
The district welcomes input from residents but uses different registration timing depending on whether your topic appears on the meeting agenda.
Topic on the agenda
The district says the request form may be submitted up to the start of the Board meeting.
Topic not on the agenda
The district says the request form must be submitted at least three days before the Board meeting.
Protect student privacy: do not publicly share private medical, disability, discipline, custody, grade or other education-record details when addressing the Board. Use Student Services or the student’s school for confidential issues.
Cuyahoga Falls school calendar: dates families should know

Preston Elementary: if an older directory still lists Preston as one of six current elementary schools, recheck it. District materials for 2026 state that Preston Elementary closed and the elementary footprint was reduced from six schools to five.
Cuyahoga Falls Board of Education office address and contacts
Office vs meeting venue: the Board office is on Tallmadge Road, but many regular Board meetings are scheduled in the Performing Arts Center at the 6–12 campus. Check the specific meeting notice before traveling.
How to enroll a student in Cuyahoga Falls City School District
The district uses FinalForms for student enrollment. Families should create an account, complete the online enrollment process and upload the required student, residency and custody documents.
Create or use a FinalForms account
Start from the district Student Enrollment page so you reach the current Cuyahoga Falls FinalForms process.
Complete online enrollment
Enter the student’s legal information and complete the district’s required online forms.
Upload identity and health records
Accepted identity documentation includes a birth certificate, passport or hospital certificate of birth. Immunization records are also required.
Provide two current residency proofs
The first must be a complete lease/rental agreement, mortgage statement or deed. A second proof can include a current utility bill or Department of Job and Family Services document.
Add other records when applicable
Provide parent/guardian photo ID, custody documents, current report card for transferring students and ETR/IEP documents when a student receives special education services.
2026 kindergarten cutoff
Ohio House Bill 114 changed the entrance rule. For 2026–27, Cuyahoga Falls says children must turn 5 on or before August 20, 2026, because kindergarten begins August 21.
Early entrance
Families whose child will not be five by August 20 may ask about Early Entrance Kindergarten / grade-level acceleration through the district’s gifted-services route.
Moving within the district? The district requires updated residency documentation after an address change. If the required information is not provided, the student can be withdrawn from CFCSD.
Student Services: 330-926-3800 ext. 502040 or 502096.
Interdistrict open enrollment ended for 2026–27
This is an important local change for families who previously attended Cuyahoga Falls schools while living outside district boundaries. The Board directed the administration to discontinue interdistrict open enrollment beginning with the 2026–27 school year.
Nonresident families
The district says applications are not being accepted for new or current nonresident families for 2026–27.
Intra-district transfer
Residents already enrolled in CFCSD could request a different school through intra-district open enrollment. The 2026 application window was February 1–28.
Approval is not automatic: the district says intra-district placement depends on available space, grade-level enrollment, sibling considerations and capacity needed for newly enrolling resident students. Transportation for a parent-requested transfer is the family’s responsibility.
Cuyahoga Falls bus stops, Stopfinder and route questions
Bus routes are set by the Transportation Supervisor and approved by the Board each school year. Each eligible student is assigned one pickup and drop-off stop for the school week, and the district uses Stopfinder to send transportation information to families.
Transportation office
Address: 2834 Vincent St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221.
Direct phone: 330-920-3610.
Transportation Supervisor
Marjorie Johnson · 330-926-3800 ext. 502881.
Stopfinder
The district uses the Stopfinder app to communicate transportation updates to families receiving bus service.
Address changes do not go through Transportation. The district says address changes must be reported to Student Services with updated proof of residency.
Riding home with a friend: a student cannot simply board another route with a friend. The friend must also be an eligible rider, the school principal must sign a note, and Transportation must be notified.
When the Board office is not the best first call
Many questions that sound like “Board of Education” issues are handled faster by a school or district department. Cuyahoga Falls maintains separate Student Services, Special Education, Human Resources, Nutrition, Transportation and family-support routes.
Student Services
Use for enrollment, records transfer, foster-care coordination, Section 504 and related student-service questions.
School office
Use the student’s building first for attendance, schedule, classroom, counselor, dismissal and school-event questions.
Human Resources
Use HR for jobs, substitute positions, staffing questions and employment processes rather than sending job requests to individual Board members.
Cuyahoga Falls school finance, fees and public records
The Treasurer is the district’s chief fiscal officer and reports directly to the Board. The Treasurer’s Office handles budget reporting, forecasting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, grants, insurance, fixed assets and public records.
Kristy Stoicoiu
Role: Treasurer/CFO
Phone: 330-926-3800 ext. 502071
2026–27 participation fees
High-school athletic fees are listed as $100 for a first sport, $75 for a second and $25 for a third. Middle-school grades 7–8 are listed at $50 per sport.
Records distinction: public financial and Board records belong in the district’s public-record process. Private student education records are handled through the appropriate student/school channel and should not be treated as ordinary public records.
