Pre-K through Grade 2 dismissal rule
A parent or responsible adult must be available when required to receive a young child. If no approved adult is present, the driver may continue the route, attempt delivery again and ultimately return the student to school.
The district describes escalation after repeated no-adult-at-stop incidents, including a mandatory parent conference and possible involvement of Lee County DSS after repeated occurrences.
Temporary emergency stop change
Send a written request to the principal in advance with the temporary address, receiving adult, temporary phone number, parent phone number and length of time the change is needed. Do not ask the driver to create an unauthorized stop.

Lee County Schools is responsible for applicable Child Find procedures for students ages 3–21 in its public-school unit.

High-school credit and athletics use different attendance checks
Semester course
District at-risk guidance says high-school students are permitted no more than 8 absences for a semester-long course.
Year-long course
Published high-school guidance lists 16 absences for a year-long course.
Athletics
Students must have been present for at least 85% of instructional days in the previous semester to meet the state attendance eligibility requirement.
